Use this self diagnosis checklist and tailor the self help techniques to match your unique self improvement strengths and weaknesses
This self diagnosis checklist will enable you to clarify your self improvement learning priorities, avoid cop out and, if you so choose, use the techniques on this site as the foundation for a better life. As a result of using this technique you will be able to do some life coaching online and improve your awareness of how to make life better.
BELOW IS A SELF DIAGNOSIS CHECKLIST TO DETERMINE YOUR SELF HELP AND SELF IMPROVEMENT PRIORITY NEEDS The purpose of this simple checklist is to enable you to rate your strengths and weaknesses in terms of the self help techniques described on this website. This checklist is taken from my ebook, "My Future, My Choice". (click here if you wish to know more about, "Who am I?", and some background information). Using it will enable you to match the techniques to your particular needs and priorities (so that this site (and e-book) fit you rather than you having to fit them). For example, you may want to start your personal development with those techniques that relate directly to your self-rated weaknesses. Or, you may prefer to select those relating to your strengths and begin your self improvement with them. It's your choice, of course.
If you do not like the terms strengths and weaknesses, there is nothing absolute or judgmental here, your self ratings are all relative (to your potential). If you prefer, think of strengths as those areas that you see yourself as doing well or very well. If you wish, think of weaknesses as areas that you believe you can do better or improve.
This checklist is not exhaustive, or a scientific measurement of anything, but it will give you a broad picture of how you see yourself.
How to use the self-rating Diagnostic Checklist. It is easy to do and involves three steps: 1. consider the questions for each of the techniques (you may want to write down your thoughts to help you arrive at a self-rating)
2. bearing in mind your answers, give yourself a rating from 0 (a major weakness of yours as you see it) to 10 (a major strength of yours). If you wish, you may want to ask trusted others how they would rate you.
3. once you have completed your self-ratings for all the techniques, transfer them onto the overall summary sheet (click the link near the bottom of this page) to see the picture that emerges.
This is not a test and there are no right or wrong answers, just your self opinions about yourself. Raising your self awareness in this way will boost your self improvement on many levels, including the meaning of your circumstances, what you are doing and how to make life better (identified by Viktor Frankl as key elements of motivation and survival in his amazing book, "Man's Search for Meaning"). Be honest with yourself in this self diagnosis to create the best self improvement and change opportunities.
