For learning to create change, feedback on the consequences of behaviour must occur

In this model, positive learning emerges as a result of your:
behaviour, which always has a....
consequence (for you and / or others, intended and unintended), which you may or may not know about, so a good idea is to seek some....
feedback which creates the opportunity for you to make choices and...
change your behaviour,
which always has a consequence, and round you go again in a never ending loop process. One of the changes that results from this process, of course, is an increase in your capacity to create your own future.
In practice, using this model will require you to: * heighten your awareness of your behaviour and its consequences
* deliberately seek feedback from others
* appraise yourself (by self questioning and challenging), about your behaviour and how it could be different /better (to create better consequences)
* and be willing to take action on positive beneficial changes.
* adopt a double loop questioning approach and / or use the 5 WHYs problem solving method.
A great help to this process is to keep a log or journal. This can take any form that suits you - a loose leaf binder or simple notebook, for example. In it you would record significant insights in situations and your responses to the self questioning and challenging process described above. Capturing your self improvements like this is really empowering and enables you to look back and explore patterns and celebrate your achievements.
Learning must yield change to have occurred. This requires feedback about the consequences of behaviour. Click here to go to our Home page.
